Product details
Create a custom cat shirt with the face, name, and personality of your own cat. Upload a photograph and choose a portrait-led design, a name beneath the image, or a short caption that belongs to your household. This personalized tee is clothing for cat lovers, with your cat as the subject rather than a generic breed graphic.
Choose an expression you recognize
The best starting picture is often the one that looks most like daily life with your cat: the curious head tilt, the serious window-watching face, or the expression they wear while waiting for dinner. Choose a clear image rather than the most elaborate background. The face and markings should remain easy to recognize when the picture is separated from the rest of your camera roll.
A portrait with a name keeps the focus simple. Cat Mom or Cat Dad wording adds a personal role. A short joke can capture a habit without filling the design with text. You can also request a remembrance shirt with the cat's name, dates, or a brief dedication, keeping the wording as quiet or expressive as you prefer.
Photographing a cat without losing the details
Try a picture taken at the cat's eye level in soft daylight. Keep both ears visible and leave some room around the head. A photo from high above may hide the muzzle or change the proportions, while a distant picture can leave too little detail after cropping. Patience is more useful than trying to force a pose.
Check the eyes and whisker area before sending the file. Avoid direct flash if it creates bright reflections or changes the eyes' appearance. For a dark cat, look for light that shows the face rather than simply outlining a black silhouette. For a pale cat, avoid a picture where bright sunlight has erased the fur's detail.
Send the original image from your phone or camera. Screenshots and social-media copies can lose information through compression. JPG and PNG are common choices for photos; the store also accepts PDF, SVG, EPS, AI, and PSD artwork. If you are unsure about an older image, ask us to assess it before deciding the design.
One cat, a whole household, or a meaningful gift
- A single cat portrait with their name.
- A cat mom or cat dad shirt personalized for the recipient.
- Several cats arranged together with the correct names.
- A birthday or adoption-anniversary design.
- A memorial portrait with optional dates and wording.
For multiple cats, supply a clear image of each and label them. Tell us whether equal portrait sizes matter or whether one cat should be the focal point. Names should be linked to the right image in the notes so the proof is easy to check. Different photo backgrounds do not have to dictate the final arrangement.
If you are buying a surprise gift, choose a picture the owner already loves and confirm the spelling of the cat's name. A simple portrait can be a thoughtful choice when you are unsure about a joke caption. For breed-specific image advice, see the custom Maine Coon shirt.
Choose the shirt and review the proof
The fabric color is part of the design. A light coat may stand out against a dark background; a dark coat may be easier to see on a lighter one. Patterned cats need to be judged from the actual image. The proof lets you review the portrait and fabric together instead of relying on a general color rule.
We email the proposed design before printing. Check the crop, names, captions, image order, and balance. If the cat has an unusual marking or differently colored eyes, call attention to that detail in the notes and verify it on the proof. Request changes before approving the design.
For suitable designs, additional print positions can be discussed. Ask us to confirm any front, back, or sleeve arrangement and its pricing before placing an order that depends on it. For a birthday or memorial gathering, tell us the date in advance and review the shipping information.
Cat shirt questions
Can I leave off the name?
Yes. Tell us you want a portrait-only design so no optional wording is assumed.
Is this a shirt for my cat?
No. This is a personalized t-shirt for a person to wear, featuring your cat's photograph and optional text.
Fabric, size choices, and care
The shirt is soft, pre-shrunk ringspun cotton with a garment-dyed finish and a classic unisex fit. Choose from the current color options: Bay, Black, Denim, Espresso, Granite, Graphite, Grey, Ice Blue, Ivory, Moss, Navy, Pepper, Sage, White, Berry. Check the selector for the combination you need; listing a color and a size separately does not mean every combination is available.
Adult sizes currently listed are S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, and 4XL. Toddler options are 2T, 3T, 4T, and 5T; youth options are YXS, YS, YM, YL, and YXL. Short Sleeve and Long Sleeve options are listed. Select the correct age group and compare suitable garment measurements before ordering; youth and adult labels are not interchangeable.
The displayed price follows your selected product options. Review it before checkout, and confirm any special artwork or additional placement request with us. There is no minimum order. Printing takes place in the USA, and production begins after proof approval; contact us before ordering for a fixed date.
Wash inside out in cold water and tumble dry low. Avoid bleach and fabric softener, and do not iron directly over the design. For the complete process and help with your order, read how personalization works or send us your question.
